Please Rob Me

The subject of today’s discussion is online privacy and your “digital footprint.” This refers to the fact that when go online, you leave a trail of your  activities.

You may be revealing more about yourself than you intend, and these revelations might not always be desirable, much less safe.

For an example, try this experiment: “Your Digital Footprint.”

Better yet, here’s a challenge. Look at this photo album I made of some places I went yesterday. Can you tell exactly where I was and at what time, just from these photos? Make a Google Map of my location and see if you can reconstruct my day’s activity!

What would it mean if someone also knew where I lived? “Hey, everyone, I’m not home now, because I’m at these places.”
