Today in class, we watched a video titled “All is Not Lost,” made by the rock band OK Go, in collaboration with the dance company Pilobolus. The video is interactive and I customized it to show the Rough Rider welcome message above. Watch it here: http://goo.gl/DLWk7. You’ll need to use Google’s Chrome browser to get the full interactive effect.
The video also uses new HTML5 technology and I asked everyone to speculate on how it works, what was going on, and to try to decipher some of the mystery.
Whether it’s for web design or computer science, this kind of “reverse engineering” discipline is a good exercise for understanding how things work.
