Vitamin C

Albert Szent-Györgyi

I like the feature on the Google home page in which they periodically change the Google logo image to commemorate “holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists and scientists” on selected days. These are called Google “Doodles.” You can see the complete collection of them here.

Today’s Doodle marks the birthday of the Hungarian physiologist who won the Nobel prize for discovering vitamin C: Albert Szent-Györgyi.

And Google has a student competition, called “Doodle 4 Google,” in which they “invite K-12 students to use their artistic talents to think big and redesign Google’s homepage logo for millions to see.”
