I have set up an online discussion “board” for us to use in our Roosevelt CS courses. (Thanks to Nathan for initiating and researching this project!)
The idea is that it can be an online place that extends the classroom. We can have discussions in this forum and keep various conversational threads going that we might not have time for in class. It also allows for people who might not want to speak out in class to express their ideas in writing instead.
The discussion board, called the Roosevelt CS Forum, is hosted on a service called freeforums.org, and uses an open-source package called phpBB.
A link to this is now in the course website menu: Forum. Check it out.
For all students reading this, your first task is to register in this forum. See the instructions for doing this in the Assignments page for your class.
